Gourmet & All-You-Can-Eat
The lodge chef will prepare three hearty meals each day, which are included in your package. All meals are served home style and are all-you-can-eat.

Breakfast
includes hot and cold cereals, muffins, breads, fruits, eggs, French toast, pancakes, bacon, sausage, reindeer sausage, juices, and coffee.

Lunch
usually consists of sandwiches and soups for convenience while you are fishing or exploring Alaska. When the opportunity prevails, a shore lunch can be arranged with your guide. This includes a fresh-caught salmon filleted and cooked to perfection to be enjoyed along the river banks.

Dinner
is the main, non-fishing event of the day and offers guests a time to exchange stories of their adventures from the day. Dinner is comprised of a three-course gourmet ensemble, which includes salad, entree, and freshly prepared desserts. Appetizers are served at 6:30 p.m. every day. Dinner begins at 7 p.m.
Menus often include Alaskan-style appetizers, NY strips, prime rib, crab legs, fresh salmon, halibut, shrimp, chicken, and pork. Complimentary beer and bottled wine are also served.
Dietary Requirements & Requests
All of our meals are freshly prepared by our chef and chef's team. That means each meal can accommodate your specific needs. However, because of our remote location, we do ask that should you have a specific dietary need that you provide us with 30 days advance notice. This allows our culinary team to ensure we have what you need on hand. Remember, there are no roads here and limited resources.

Kevin Bennett
Meet the #1 rated chef on the Aggressor dive boat fleet out of Kona, Hawaii! Kevin was born in Greene, New York, and attended Broome Community College in Binghamton, New York. Back then, he was interested in hotel restaurant management and received his degree in the same. An inspiration in Kevin’s decision to start his career as a chef was watching Food Network TV. He spent 25 years keeping people's bellies full and practicing restaurant management in numerous locations until he finally decided to call Maui home for a time. He has been working in Alaska for 3 years, and finally, we were lucky enough to have him land at Bear Trail! He enjoys keeping guests at Bear Trail Lodge happy, healthy, and well-fed during the summer. Kevin's favorite part about this state is catching King Salmon, and his job is complete when he sees the smiles on clients' faces at the end of the day after one of his notoriously scrumptious meals.

Jenn Fry
Jenn is joining us for her second season with Bear Trail Lodge. She grew up in Miamiville, Ohio, and left to pursue a degree at the School of the Art Institute, graduating in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in fine arts. Jenn is experienced in the food and restaurant industry, carrying 22 years of experience, including managing Landry’s and Bubba Gump Shrimp, and owning and operating R.I.P.E. Juice Maui! In the off-season, Jenn likes to spend her time on the island of Maui surfing and paddling outrigger canoes and also works part-time for a small restaurant in Paia. Kevin and Jenn met when they worked together at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., which is how Jenn got to Bear Trail in 2021. Jenn loves the Bristol Bay area, spending time on the water and in the winter with family and friends. When she is not showing off her talents in our kitchen, her claim to fame is surfing over 1,000 waves in the 2020/21 season alone in Maui and Kauai!
